Call for volunteers

We’re looking for any keen gardeners, green-fingered enthusiasts, DIY-ers and anyone who wants to get involved in community projects!

RDT have obtained funding from the National Lottery and the Mushroom Trust to build and install raised flowerbeds along Royston Road and we’re looking for local volunteers to help us do it.

We’ve asked TCV Scotland to lend us their expertise in building and planting so Tom from TCV is going to be leading groups every Thursday, meeting outside Rosemount lifelong Learning Centre at 10am.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any volunteering or gardening experience – just come along!
Get in touch with tom.karas@tcv.org.uk if you have any questions.

More about the project:

  • We are working together to construct planters along the Royston Road.
Involving the community will help to maintain the planters and give a lasting benefit to the area.
  • We are looking for volunteers to participate with this work which will take place on the following Thursdays:
    December 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th January 5th, 12th and 19th.
  • We will meet outside the Rosemount Lifelong Learning Centre at 10 am and finish by 3 pm. You will need to complete the TC Volunteer welfare information form and agree to their Code of Conduct.

As well as the planter construction we will pick litter, collect leaves and plant various pollinator friendly plants.

We are looking for volunteers to participate throughout this project, so please get in touch if you’re interested!
