Our Community Development Officer Andy is an award-winning historian of the Industrial Revolution and will talk about: medieval women, sedition, the covenanters, lots of plague, why we don’t remember the 1858 weaver’s strike, Glasgow’s poorhouses, education, and what life was like for Irish Catholics in the industrial revolution (Spoiler alert – it wasn’t great).
