Rosemount Development Trust is a community led charity, dedicated to designing and delivering projects which have a positive economic, environmental, or social benefit in Royston. We rely on committed local members to help fulfill our aims.

Become a Rosemount Development Trust Member

All we ask is that:

  • You have a local postcode
  • You are 16 years old and over
  • You are entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes the ‘Community’ or part of it
  • You support the aims, objectives, and activities of Rosemount Development Trust Limited

Rosemount Development Trust (the Trust) is a free membership organisation, accountable to the community members that support us.

As a community led and managed organisation with charitable status the Trust is dedicated to designing and delivering community initiatives, and supporting local projects and other organisations, which provide a positive economic, environmental, or social benefit in Royston and surrounding areas.

We depend on a committed membership base made up of the local community and local businesses.

If you are passionate about driving positive change in Royston and surrounding areas, please join as a member to support your local community development/regeneration organisation.

Membership of Rosemount Development Trust is open to all who subscribe to our Articles of Association. There are two categories of membership:

Ordinary Member (VOTING)
Ordinary Membership shall be open to any individual aged 16 years or over who is resident in the Community (as defined in articles of association; is entitled to vote at a local government election in a polling district that includes the Community or part of it; and supports the objects and activities of the company as detailed in the Articles.
As an ordinary member you are entitled to cast a vote at our AGM, stand for election as a board member, approve election of other Board members, and submit resolutions.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER (NON-VOTING)
Associate Membership shall be open to any individual whose main place of business or employment is within the Community, any individual nominated by two Ordinary Members, and any organisations (wherever they have their principal office or place of business or main area of operation) that support the objects and activities of the company.
If you want to join as an associate member (i.e you support our work but you live outside the operating area you can still fill out the form below. Although this means that you can’t vote at AGMs, it still demonstrates that you support our charitable aims and objectives.

Having the support of local people is essential to what we do. As a community development trust, we believe in community-led regeneration and giving residents a voice in what their community needs to make it a better place to live, work and enjoy.
Joining us as a member also allows us to show funders, partners and government agencies that we have the support and approval of our local members.
It also allows you to have a say in what we do and how we do it.
